Welcome to St Albert's

St Albert's Catholic Chaplaincy exists to serve Catholic students and staff at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University and Queen Margaret University.

St Albert's is situated in the Old Town at 23 -24 George Square near the University of Edinburgh Library.  It is home to the Catholic Students Union and to the St Albert the Great Graduate Society.  It is also a spiritual home to hundreds of university staff and students in Edinburgh and to many others as well.

We are currently constructing a new chapel at St Albert's.  You can find out more about this and how to help at keepingthedooropen.op.org

At its heart is the Community of Dominican friars who are the Chaplains.  The friars live a common life so that they can preach the Gospel within the local Church and community.

A group of lay Dominicans meet at the Chaplaincy on the first Saturday of the month. For more details about lay Dominicans in the UK and for contact details for the Edinburgh Group see www.laydominicansuk.com

We hope this website helps you to discover more about St Albert's, and possibly to become part of its life.
