A wine tasting at home or at work for up to eight people tasting seven different wines. Donor has a qualification in wine – DipWSET- and does wine tastings and wine tasting fundraisers; the most popular requests are for birthday gifts where people have enough ‘stuff’ but are looking for a memorable, fun and informative evening.
(2) Painting & Decorating MMcN. Minimum £13 per hour SOLD TO ONE BIDDER £200
A pledge to paint a room for £13 an hour; less than half what a paint firm would charge. The bigger the room the better. Total cost of the job should be about half what a professional painter would charge.In terms of standards, no difference between employing me or professional. Donor has been painting for over 40 years for family, friends, charities-including L’Arche, Green Party etc..Also recently painted for a parishioner for a donation to SCIAF. In terms of health and safety, has had to complete risk assessments etc. as in previous jobs as was a manager.

Explore the nature, community and calmness of the Union canal for half a day. The itinerary can be adjusted as required, although a recommended one would be from Hermiston to Ratho, where lunch or tea can be taken at the pub there before returning. Alternative itinerary could be starting from Edinburgh Quay. The trip, for up to four people, will take place on a 57ft modern narrowboat, with all facilities (kitchen, toilets, heating etc etc) on board. Tea / Coffee and snacks will also be provided

Using a high powered telescope you can take a tour of the night sky above you, viewing stars, galaxies and planets. What’s more you can do this from the comfort of your own home, without having to go outside in the cold, as the live images will be beamed to your phone or tablet device. All thats needed is a garden to set up the equipment. We can agree some provisional dates and ensure it will be a clear sky. Even if there is a lot of light around your home, we could still view some of the natural wonders of the universe above.

A walking tour, for up to five people, of the Dean Valley and Dean Village. This would include the (private) Bank Gardens of the Moray Feu. It might start there (in Doune Terrace, where there is a gate to the gardens), proceed right through the gardens, to the point where there is a beautiful view of Telford’s Dean Bridge and Trinity Church and then down through the Gardens to the path beside the Water of Leith. We would then proceed along the path under the Dean Bridge to the Dean Village itself, where we can look at Well Court and other parts of the Village, the walkways along the Water of Leith, and the Valley’s milling heritage. There have been major improvements in the Valley in recent years, and it has become a significant tourist attraction. We could finish by climbing out of the Valley, to the Belford Bridge to the west of the Village and then back at high level to the Dean Bridge, to finish with the beautiful views from there in both directions.

The donor can do 4 batches of up to 6 holes per lot. Most jumpers have 2 or 3 holes). The minimum price is 75p per hole– so £4.50 per lot.
This works best for small holes in medium-gauge knitwear (cashmere or lambswool), but you can generally do a pretty good job on thin cashmere too. Large holes can be stabilised, but not got rid of them entirely.
Invisible mending is only invisible from the outside, not the inside. It is not necessary to provide matching wool – the donor normally uses cotton. The donor can bring an example of a mended jumper for people to look at. It won’t be before Christmas.
